Event Planning - Amanda Hale - email: amazzola11@gmail.com

Love a good party? Want to help create unforgettable memories for our Ridgetop community? Join our Events Committee! We're looking for a few folks to help us plan and execute some of our most beloved events: Fall Fest, Tamalada, Pachanga (adults only), and Field Day.

We know life is busy, so don't worry about committing to everything. You can lend a hand with just one event or dive in headfirst and help us plan them all. It's a great way to meet new people, have a blast, and give back to the community.

Better together.

Ridgetop Gratitude Group - email: Marisa Zappone mrzappone@yahoo.com

The Gratitude Group provides small tokens of support and appreciation to our non-grade level Ridgetop staff members. We help to ensure ALL staff know how grateful we are for their service to the community.

Non-grade level staff members include everyone from office staff, to custodial and cafeteria workers, special education team members, teaching assistants, special area teachers, along with our school nurses and safety patrol officers.

We are looking for Ridgetop families to volunteer as Gratitude Ambassadors by sponsoring a Ridgetop staff member during the 2024-2025 school year. The ask is fairly simple! You'll provide cards and small gifts (a favorite drink or snack, chocolates, coffee, small gift card, etc.) 3-4 times during the school year to your assigned individual. It's a way to celebrate these hard-working folks and thank them for their contributions. It's also a great way to get your kids involved in learning more about gratitude-they can help by decorating a card, writing a thank you note, etc.  And no worries about tracking people down, simply drop off at the front of the school with Ms. Schultz and she'll pass it along.

We will provide you with a list of the staff members' favorite things to make your gift-giving easier, and you'll also receive monthly email reminders about upcoming birthdays, appreciation weeks, etc. to keep you on track.

SchoolPool - email: Natalie Messer Betts messer.natalie@gmail.com

We know many Ridgetop families live outside of the school bus zone, so we’re one of the first schools in the Austin area to join the Movability SchoolPool program!  The Movability SchoolPool Program makes it easier to meet and organize carpools, which reduces the time you spend in traffic, improves traffic congestion, and contributes to better air quality. Find parents who live nearby, schedule your trips, and set up alerts up to 30 mins to 2 hours before it starts. From the mobile app, you can also navigate and share your location with parents whose students are in your carpool. Families who live close can also organizing a “walking bus” or bikepool. All participants are required to complete a background check before they can drive, walk or bike with SchoolPool. Both school trips and afterschool program transportation can be arranged on SchoolPool.
